Research in Romania

In Romania the research included 6 villages/ localities/ from Arad district, 3 villages were in Apuseni Montains and 3 villages were in a field area.In accordance with the project in the first 3 villages the research was made by a team from Arad Museum:Sorin Sabau,Elena Rodica Colta and Gabriel Halmagean.

The official trip and the research began on the 30 th of January 2004 in Avram Iancu village (Varfuri commune,district Arad).The research in this village was made in two parts and it was concluded on the 16 th of February 2004.The second research was made at Vidra village (Varfuri commune, district Arad) between the 20 th of February and 26 th of February and the third research was made at Magulicea village (Varfuri commune, Arad district) between the 24 th of March and 30 th March 2004. In the research of the field area localities also took part a team from Mihalyi Munkacsy Museum from Bekescsaba-Hungary compund of Emilia Martin Nagy,Elena Csobai and Ando Gyorgy.The official trip began with Pecica town, where the  research  was also in two parts.The first part began on 18 th April and lasted until 24 th of April and the second part was between the 25 th of May and the 30 th of May 2004.The research in Romania was followed by a research at Peregu Mare village between the 21 st of June and the 27 th of June and another  research after that was made at Turnu village from 12 th of Juli until  18 th of July 2004.In all these localities we wanted to achieve a general point of view, we wanted to find information about local history social life, traditional architecture (the evolution of this architecture nowadays), the trades and also information, old customs, fairytales and local mithology.
