1.Gheorghe Cosma, nickname "Hajma" Wooden forks-maker.He lives in Avram Iancu village (commune Varfuri,district Arad).He was born in 1936 in Miclanesti spinney and he is married to Ileana.He has two sons Petru and Gheorghe and three nephews. From the age of 14 he began to go down from the mountains for exchanging products in the field villages.He is a very skilled man in doing a lot of things.His main job nowadays is wooden-fork-maker.He likes to tell about everything.He considers himself a "universal man". The reserch is based on: the story of this man`s life,the story of the church from the village,folk customs about family life (weddings and funerals),holidays(old christmas carols),folk mithology, old believes,local superstition,folk medicine. 2.Ileana Cosma She completed the stories her husband ,Gheorghe Cosma, told with folk traditions about Saint Ignat,who was a saint without a cross.
She lives in Avram Iancu village(commune Varfuri,district Arad.RO), in Dealu spinney.She was born in 1949.Her grand father Luca was a wooden waggon maker who was helped in this trade only by his axe.At the age of 13 she married a driver.She has two children, Lucica and Dan, and she also has a nephew.When she was young she worked at a firtree plantation and she also went down in the field with her husband for exchanging products.After 1990 she made foreign trade in Hungaria,Turkey and Jugoslavia.She travelled a lot and she likes to tell everyone her story. The research is based on: the story of this woman family, customs about agriculture, domestic industry, folk customs about family (birth and christening),folk mithology(stories about phantoms,ghosts,Saint Precup,stories about snakes and fortune tellers) 4.Traian Giurgelea He lives in Avram Iancu village(Varfuri,district Arad,RO) in Glemea spinney.He was born in 1921 and he is marired to Lina Petrisor.He joined the army and he also fought in the second world war.When he was younger he went down in the field with his waggon full of apples.He only has good memories.The reserch is based on: stories about world war II, the story of this man`s life, information about the past(social work in the village,fairs)wedding customs,holiday customs ("Ciuralesa"),folk mithology(stories about phantoms and vampires,meetings with the Devil,etc.)
She is the wife of Traian Giurgelea.She completed with information about group work, weddings and funerals.
6.Gheorghe Mihut. Nickname:Savica`s son.He lives in Vidra village (Varfurile,Arad district, RO). He was born in 1912.He is married.In the army he was a vet assistant and he looked after the horses`s regiment. He fought in the second world war and he had been taken prisoner by the russians.He also went down in the field with his waggon for exchanging products.He has only nice memories from the past. The research is based on: the story of this man`s life, memories from the world war,folk traditions( the fear from the old ook), folk mithology.
7.Viorica Neag She lives in Magulicea village(Varfurile, district Arad,RO).She was born in 1952 ,she is married,with two children, a boy and a girl and she also is a grand mother.She works at home because she has animals(muttons).She likes to tell stories. The resarch is based on: folk mitology( stories about gosts and snakes)folk winter customs,magic medicine.
She lives in Pecica -town (district Arad,RO), on the street nr.2, in the romanian area.She was born in 1932,she is the daughter of "Gruia`s Remus".In 1950 she married Hidisan the son of Barnau.She is a widow now.She has a `daughter Lucica and a nephew.A few time before they had been reacher.They had 50 ha. of land.Beacuse of that land they were baited by the communists.Her father was arrested and he fell ill.Persida Ponta is a very good story teller with much humour. The resarch is based on: the story of this woman family, wedding and funeral customs, folk mithology ( stories about ghosts).
He lives in Pecica town(district Arad,RO), in the romanian area.He is married,with children.He was a romanian language teacher and now he is retired.He was a dancer when he was younger.He also was the manager of the artistic and cultural events from the town.He is very popular in the town.He knows a lot of people and he knows many things about the town. The research is based on:local history,folk traditions("The funeral feast of the new bread"),information about the churches from the town,the nicknames of the romanian families.
10 Ecaterina Teretean She lives in Pecica town(district Arad,RO), in the romanian area.She was born in 1919 in Pecica and she was named Cheveresan before her marriage. She is married to Teretean Cornel aged 86. The research is based on: holidays customs over the year,family customs,folk mithology.
He lives in Peregu Mare at nr. 257 (district Arad,RO).He is a retired teacher.He is slovak and his religion is protestant.He was born in Nadlac in 1919 and he was married.Now he is a widow.He has a daughter in Nadlac.He leads the mandoline group in Peregu Mare.He knows very well the village.He is very appreciate by the community.He likes to tell stories. The research is based on:the story of this man`s life, information about the old times in the village,slovak traditions,the religious life of the slovaks.
12.Hermine Hampl. She lives in Peregu Mare at nr. 255(district Arad,RO).She is german and catholic.She was born in 1939.She lost her father who in the world war II joined the german army.Hermine is married to Walter Hampl,she has three children who are living in Germany.During her spare time she paints and she composes religious poems.She has a wonderful voice.She sings solo and she also conducts the chorus of the catholic church from Peregu Mare.She likes to tell stories about family and her life. The research is based on:the story of this woman familiy, information about old german comunity, about catholic church, about the participation of the german inhabitants from Peregu Mare at second world war.
13.Maria Gemes She lives at a house of old homeless people in Elek/Aletea (Bekes district,Hu).She is romanian.Her religion is catholic.She was born in 1926.Her name before mariage was Tatar. In her childhood she lived in a shelter.She married a hungarian and after that she changed her religion.She has three children.Now she is a widow.When she was married she lived on the street Erckel at nr.22. The research is based on:the story of this woman`s life,folk mithology.
14.Marioara Dan She is nicknamed "Marioara,the daughter of Cicicas".She lives in Elek/Aletea(Bekes district,HU),on the road of Leucus.She is romanian and her religion is orthodox.She was born in 1928 and her name before mariage was Purece.She is married to Toader Dan.She takes care of the ortodox chapel from Elek/Aletea.She is a very religious woman. The research is based on: customs about romanian holidays(Chrismas carols).
He is a romanian who lives in Elek/Aletea(Bekes district,HU), str.Poltemberg nr.30.He was born in 1935 and he had a sister.He was married but now he is a widow and retired.He has a job in the romanian self gouvernment.He arrange a traditional romanian room,in his house with the objects inherited from his parents.He is the last inhabitants who still keeps an old custom named Turca.He is a dancer in the romanian dancing group. The research is based on: traditional marriage customs ,old holidays customs. 16 Ondrej Lopusny He lives in Totkomlos (Bekes district,HU),on the street Gaal M. at nr 17.He is slovak ,his religion is protestant and he is retired.He was born in 1930.He was married,but now he is a widow.He has a daughter.He worked as administrator at the slovak house/the museum from the locality.Now he is taking part at the political life of the locality in the Party of little agrarians.He guides visitors at the museum houses .He knows all the people.He is very funny and he likes to tell stories. The research is based on:the history of the local slovaks,the history of protestant church from Totkomlos,information about economic and cultural local life, information about the old jobs practised in the past,folk mithology, old belives and superstitions.
17 Milanca Cornea She is an orthodox serbian from Turnu (Arad district,RO).She was born in 1923.Her name before marriage was Tyurovski.She graduated only 7 years of school at the serbian school from Turnu.She was married to a romanian man.Now she is a widow.She has a daughter,two nephews and a great grandsan. She knows at the same time romanian and serbian family customs and holiday customs.She is a very funny woman. The research is based on: serbian and romanian traditional customs about funerals ,birth and holidays.
18 Ivan Sinisa Baici He is an orthodox serbian from Turnu(Arad district,RO).He was born in 1936 in a rich family .The comunists took away their land.He is married and he has children and nephews.He knows a lot of information about local history.He is everybody`s friend.He likes to tell stories and he is happy because somebody wants to write about his village.This village was in the past a small town in Arad`s field. The research is based on:local history, church`s history and the story of this man`s family.
